Caffe Pronto - Brazil (sustainable)

During today's busy schedule I was able gain access to Gerry's exclusive collection of Caffe Pronto coffee from Brazil. I would highly recommend this coffee to adventurous drinkers who like darker coffee but do not like a bitter taste. My preference is for both. The taste was slightly dry, with notes hitting the back of my palate not unlike a meaty red wine. The texture was smooth and creamy. There is a nice after taste, with a subtle tannin to chew on at the end.

Brazil Cerrado Gold

One of my favorite cubbies to get good coffee is Caffe Pronto. There are three locations available to get my fix on and they're all in Annapolis. They roast their own beans and they are damn good at it. Our most recent batch is the Brazil Cerrado Gold. When I bought it, I found that it had been roasted 6 days prior. That is incredibly fresh for store bought beans. EP just pressed some for us for our afternoon punch and it is GOOD. It's fresh and smooth. The beans have a great nose and the coffee takes me back to my childhood; coming in from the cold to a big cup of hot chocolate. Almost creamy. The flavor hits you in the back of your jaw, like a good wine.

I highly recommend stopping by to pick up a bag. You won't be disappointed. Or you can order it online: www.caffepronto.com. Enjoy!

Mmmm.... Coffee....

Introductions Are In Order

First things first. I'm Gerald. There are two other team members and they will be posting their intros as well. We will answer any reasonable questions posted, and if we don't have an answer for you, look it up yourself. We champion self-reliance and encourage the quest for intelligence. Yes, we're snobs. Coffee snobs too. Now I have some coffee snobbery to get back to, so until next time...
